MOBILE PHYSICAL THERAPY

One of our highly-experienced licensed physical therapists will assess your strength, balance, flexibility, joint motion, movement patterns, pain, home safety, and equipment needs to identify deficits and implement a plan to address such deficits.  With 6+ years of post-high school education of how the body functions and how diseases and injury affect that function, a physical therapist finds a path for each client to move better and enhance their lives with less pain and more ability to participate in life’s daily and recreational activities.

You would benefit from seeing our mobile physical therapist when:

  • You aren’t moving as well as you want to move.
  • You are experiencing pain related to muscles, bones, joints, ligaments,nerves, or posture.
  • You have fallen recently or feel like you could fall soon.
  • You have dizziness that becomes worse with movement or head position.
  • You want to ensure that your living environment is safe.
  • You want to maintain your current ability to enjoy life with wellness visits.
  • You prefer individual attention in the home instead of going to a busy outpatient clinic.
  • You want medical equipment recommendations to optimize movement and safety for you and those who care for you.
  • You haven’t met your goals with physical therapists previously or feel limited by insurance.
  • You are getting wounds or sores and don’t know how to prevent them.
  • You need training for caregivers who are assisting you to walk, move, or transfer.

Mobile Speech Therapy

Our speech language pathologists assess a patient’s speech, language, and swallowing skills. They provide language articulation and language intervention activities.

You would benefit from seeing our speech language pathologist when:

 

  • You’re unable to properly form word sounds.
  • You have trouble speaking fluently and regularly stutter.
  • Your speech is slowed or slurred due to weakness or inability to control muscles when speaking.
  • You can’t speak loud enough for others to hear you anymore.
  • You have trouble understanding and processing what others say.
  • You have trouble forming accurate sentences like using the wrong verb tense.
  • You have trouble communicating due to memory loss.
  • You have difficulties swallowing or chewing.

Mobile Occupational Therapy

If you have pain, injury, illness, or disability, our experienced occupational therapists can evaluate and treat you to learn new ways to perform tasks, take care of yourself, and complete daily chores. They treat you in order to improve motor skills, balance, and coordination.  They can prescribe and train you in using assistive devices.

You would benefit from seeing our mobile occupational therapist when:

  • You need to learn new ways to button a shirt, tie your shoe, or work on your computer.
  • You have fallen recently or need help preventing falls.
  • You need to build your hand eye coordination.
  • You need to work on motor skills to grasp a pencil.
  • You need treatment after having a stroke to improve balance and build upper extremity muscle strength.
  • You need professional advice to eliminate fall risks in your home.
  • You need help learning how to use your wheelchair or cane.
  • You prefer individual attention in the home instead of busy outpatient clinics.
  • You want to be more independent with showering/bathing.
  • You want to dress yourself by yourself or with less assistance.
